EnBlend front end

enblend

Overview

PanoTools is a comprehensive open source system for creating panoramic images from a set of smaller images. Hugin is open source helper software that makes PanoTools easier to use. However, sometimes PanoTools can leave 'crease lines' where joins are imperfectly blended, and this is where Enblend by Andrew Mihal comes in. Enblend is an alternative way to blend images that often gives superior results. Please read the Enblend documentation.

EnBlend front end is freeware helper software for Windows that makes Enblend for Windows easier to use.

Instructions

  1. Create a panorama with Hugin and output with image format: Multiple TIFF.
  2. Launch EnBlend front end.
  3. Browse to one of the Hugin output files, eg MyPanorama0002.tif.
  4. This will automatically select all TIFF files with names that start with the same letters; eg MyPanorama0000.tif, MyPanorama0001.tif, MyPanorama0002.tif, and MyPanorama0003.tif.
  5. Select Blend 360° to blend a 360° panorama (enblend option -w), and enter any other otions in the options box, if required. See the Enblend documentation for more information on options.
  6. Click "Blend" to run Enblend.exe and create a blended image. The blended image will be named the same as the multiple images, but without the number in the file name. For this example it will be named MyPanorama.tif.
